Spring Salmon Fishing
I will begin taking spring salmon trips on April 1st. For those of you who don’t know, spring salmon are the most highly prized salmon in the lower Columbia. They are extremely flavorful because of their high fat and oil content. Springer fishing is done in the river, so there is no danger of seasickness. The season usually lasts into mid May.

Salmon Fishing
Ocean salmon fishing begins in early July and ends in mid September. Unfortunately, there will be no early ocean season this year. Ocean salmon is expected to be great this year again. It is almost a guarantee to catch your limit of salmon when fishing in the ocean. River salmon fishing (Buoy 10 fishing) will begin August 1st and usually lasts until mid September. This can be much more difficult fishing than ocean salmon fishing, but it can also be much more exciting. Last year, we caught several Chinook that weighed in at 40+ pounds.
